Welcome to Lisa Harper Online!
Rarely are the terms motorcycle mama and Bible scholar used in the same sentence, much less used to describe the same person…but then again, Lisa Harper is anything but stereotypical! She has been lauded as a master storyteller whose writing and speaking overflows with colorful pop culture references that bridge the gap between the Bible era and modern-day life. Her style combines sound biblical exposition with easy-to-relate-to stories and a comedic wit that is quite simply one of a kind.

Max Lucado calls Lisa one of the "best Bible tour guides around" and Priscilla Evans Shirer adds, "If anyone can help us to hear, understand and receive the truth of Scripture it is Lisa Harper. Her God-given ability to not merely teach the Word but package it in a way that stirs the heart and calls to action is incomparable. When she speaks ears perk up. When she puts pen to paper the soul stands at attention to listen."

Lisa’s resume includes six years as the director of Focus on the Family’s national women’s ministry where she created the popular Renewing the Heart conferences, attended by almost 200,000 women, as well as working on a large church staff and with a youth ministry organization. She also recently completed a Masters of Theological Studies from Covenant Theological Seminary. Now a sought-after Bible teacher and speaker, Lisa has spoken at various Women of Faith, Moody Bible and Focus on the Family conferences and has been on numerous radio and television programs. She was also featured on the cover of Today’s Christian Woman (July/August 2006), and is now a regular columnist with the magazine.

She’s written several books including Relentless Love, Every Woman’s Hope and a trio of "Bible studies disguised as books" that includes: Holding Out for a Hero: A New Spin on Hebrews and What Every Girl Wants: A Portrait of Perfect Love and Intimacy in the Song of Songs. She was a key contributor to the Becoming Devotional Bible for Women (Spring ’06), and has an exciting new project – an interactive devotional to help women really engage with the divine love story throughout scripture titled What the Bible is All About for Women, A Book of Devotions – which was released in Fall ’07.

Yet when asked about her accomplishments, Lisa responds with a self-effacing grin saying, "I’m definitely grateful for the opportunities God has given…but don’t forget, He often uses donkeys and rocks!" She lives just south of Nashville, TN and enjoys gardening, hiking, chasing her Jack Russell terriers, and hanging out with friends at Starbucks.
